Basic training was the best of times, and the worst of times. Regardless of the lack of sleep and shower doors, there are plenty of good things to come out of completing the hell otherwise known as Military boot camp.
P.S. – Whether you’re reminiscing on your experiences as a recruit or looking to gain some insight on what it will be like, head over to our Facebook Support Group to get or give free advice on surviving BCT.
1.) You Make Lifelong Friends

The friends you make in basic training will be friends for life.
Even after you retire, you will always have these men and women to go to for support, advice, and shooting the shit.
Although most recruits end up going on different paths based on MOS, desire for a career, and other factors, many tend to stay in touch with their buddies from boot camp.
Have you lost touch with your basic training buddies? If you want to reconnect, find them here.
