It may be difficult for civilians to understand the transition process. Retiring from any branch can be hard, and your support will mean the world to your Soldier.
You can help them with their new job search by making a resume with them, help them find new service providers (doctors, dentists, etc), and simply put in the effort to be there for them when they need it.
